What do you think of parents leaving their children unattended in shopping malls?

I think that when kids show that they are responsible enough then maybe they can go to the mall alone without you not being at the mall. But if your child is 12 and wants to walk around the mall alone with a friend that is perfectly fine, if u and ur child set a meeting place to meet every hour or so. This way you are giving your child some freedom but not to much.
