I have a nest in my yard and the mother hasnt attended to it in about 5 days. Would should i do wih the nest?

Do nothing..there is the off chance that this nest IS active and you are just missing the parents visits to it. If it is abandoned, then the eggs are dead and there is nothing you can do for them. Just leave it there and either chicks will hatch, or if the eggs are dead, someone will come along and eat them. Just let nature takes it's course.
