How many different scotch whiskies are there?

Well this a hard one, the way you ask the question. If you want to know how many name brands hundreds or types not many, but as some distillery's make more than one named brand, in different names and different number of years old, so you could get 10 with the same name but different years old, then it gos into thousands. In Bournemouth at the Angus hotel they have 330 different names and that's not counting different years old. That's if you are on about Scotch, but if you are on about Scotch whiskies there are thousands from all over the World.
